Closures in St. Petersburg: Palace Bridge and Embankments Shut Down

On the afternoon of January 26, new traffic closures occurred in central districts of St. Petersburg, provoking an increase in car congestion.

At approximately 13:30, traffic was halted on Palace Embankment, Admiralty Avenue, and the adjacent passage near Alexander Garden. Also, passage on the Palace Bridge in the direction of Nevsky Prospect was blocked.
Significant traffic jams formed on Nevsky Prospect, Gorokhovaya Street, St. Isaac«s Square, and in Palace Passage. Minor difficulties were recorded on University Embankment.
Earlier in the morning, traffic in this part of the city had already been closed twice.
