Biologist and wildlife photographer Alina Urusova captured a family of wild boars on a camera trap on Sarpinsky Island in the Kirovsky District of Volgograd. A morning tea for the young woman ended with an encounter with adorable snouts. To be fair, to spy on them, she had to climb a tree.

Look how funny and cute they are!

Alina Urusova shared the “wild” footage, which grabs attention from the first minutes, on her social media and told how she managed to film the daily routines of a large family without disturbing them.

“Early in the morning, before work, I went out to the garden to have breakfast. The dawn sun gilded the leaves, silence reigned in the forest — the August forest was still dozing… But someone was rudely breaking the idyll. Rustling, and not just rustling loudly, but breaking branches, knocking down small trees. The forest behind the house was shaking,” Alina recalls. “«Cows,» I thought lazily, and continued chewing my sandwich. But the naturalist«s itch in one place gives no peace. After waiting a bit, I went to see who had been brought here this time. I made my way through the thickets with difficulty — no one… I climbed a tree, and from there it finally became clear: a whole family of boars had come to tea.
Alina climbed the tree and held her breath, but the branch beneath her treacherously creaked. However, the important mother of the boars pretended not to notice the curious gaze.
“Here they are, the family delegation: in front, striding along, constantly jostling, young but so important boars. And at the end, the mother trudges, grunting occasionally, grumbling something, but the little ones seem not to hear, not to show it. I sit on the tree, holding my breath, examining the furry backs… Crunch! — the branch under me broke, the sensitive boar mother raised her head, looking,” Alina recalls. “Then followed a brief but quite meaningful dialogue:
“Good morning!”
“Oink!”
Apparently not sensing any particular threat, the mother calmly led the piglets down the shore, to the lake. I returned to my cooled tea. In the background — the rhythmic «slap, slap, slap» of boar hooves on the water and a loud, drawn-out «foooof» — the boars were lounging, taking morning baths.
