In Novosibirsk, a cat named Rychal is being rehomed. His owner died, and volunteers took the pet along with other cats. The little one is very timid but does not show aggression. The shelter is confident that in a loving family, Rychal will become braver.

According to the head of the shelter «Naslediye Bastet» (Bastet«s Legacy) Imran Tano, the woman had five cats in total, but one of them died for unknown reasons. The remaining four had to be caught by animal rights activists. The animals were poorly socialized.

Two were taken to separate foster care, and two settled in the shelter — they were given the names Fyrkal and Rychal due to their behavior.

The cats were brought to the shelter in early October.

Fyrkal immediately showed a more formidable temper, while Rychal turned out to be timid. Work on his socialization at the shelter is going better, and volunteers hope that he will truly open up at home.

«Rychal is a promising kitty: he can be picked up, but you need to hold him carefully and firmly. He hasn»t learned to interact with people yet. But he figured out that if he sits by the cage door and meows, he«ll be fed. And you can»t let him out of the cage — he«ll go into hiding. It would be good to place him in a small apartment without other cats, where he»ll have no other choice but to start communicating with a person,« explained Imran Tano.

The cat is vaccinated and healthy.

Rychal has been treated for parasites, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for viruses, and neutered. He can be adopted at the adoption fair «Tail Day» (0+), which will take place on December 20 at the MFC «San City».

On December 1, NGS reported on a cat named Djigit, who was fed by summer residents. Now he lives in a shelter and is looking for a home.
