Injured Puppy Brought to Shelter in Nizhny Novgorod

On Wednesday, January 28, a man brought an injured puppy named Korzhik to the Nizhny Novgorod shelter «Sostradanie NN,» asking them to take the animal so it wouldn«t end up on the street.
After surgery, the puppy is recovering with pins, while its two sisters await adoption at another shelter.

The puppy was taken to a veterinary clinic, where a leg fracture was diagnosed. Korzhik underwent surgery and had pins installed, which should be removed in a month.
Later, shelter staff contacted volunteers from the Gorodets «Island of Hope,» who said they had placed this puppy with a family back in November. After that, the man who brought Korzhik confessed to everything and explained that the fracture occurred when the owner fell on him.
«The puppy was completely adequate. He was scared and, apparently, beaten. It smells like a police report,» wrote the staff of «Sostradanie NN.»
At the «Island of Hope» shelter, Korzhik has two sisters left, who are also looking for new responsible owners.
