"He Sat and Waited": Novosibirsk Seeks Home for Big-Cheeked Cat Magadan
The cat Magadan, found in Iskitim, is calm, sociable, and in need of a permanent home.
In Novosibirsk, a home is being sought for a large cat named Magadan with big cheeks. He was caught in Iskitim in January. The pet appears to be about 7 years old.
As the cat«s caretaker Kristina told, on that day, volunteers set a trap in the basement to catch another cat at the request of residents, which needed to be sterilized. But the first to enter the cat trap was a large cat.
«He sat — so huge — and completely calmly waited to see what would happen next. No one knows where he came from. He had never been seen there before, otherwise he would have been remembered,» she shared.
They decided not to release the cat outside in winter, and took him to Novosibirsk with other animals for neutering. It turned out that he is completely tame, very calm, sociable, and not infected with any dangerous viral infections. His huge cheeks likely grew due to high testosterone levels — this happens in adult unneutered cats.
Magadan is about seven years old. He is primarily vaccinated, chipped, and neutered. He needs food for sensitive digestion. He can be adopted at the «Tail Day» adoption fair (0+), which will take place on February 14 at the Aura shopping mall.
On January 26, NGS reported that Novosibirsk volunteers were finding a home for the affectionate kitten Avvakum. After the publication, an owner was found for him.
