In Chelyabinsk, complaints have been received about a pack of stray dogs that has settled in Gagarin Park, near the Stone Quarry.

‘Near the Stone Quarry, it«s impossible for people to pass – it»s just 500 meters from the Kurchatov Monument. A pack of 11 huge dogs with puppies has settled on the quarry beach. Homeless people have set up a sofa there and are feeding the dogs. And now it«s simply impossible for people to walk around the quarry. The dogs are aggressive, protecting their small puppies. And yet, there»s a ski base in the park, ski sections for children! An adult can«t get through, what would happen to a child if such a pack chased them?’ said local resident Sergey.

The topic of capturing stray animals was discussed at a meeting in the mayor«s office on February 2. City Head Alexey Loshkin drew attention to this.

‘From previous experience, I know that instructions to the capture service are given based on incidents that have occurred. I urge residents not to hesitate and submit their applications to the ecology department,’ noted Loshkin.

Applications for capturing stray animals can be submitted to the city«s ecology and environmental management department.
