Abandoned Fold Cat Matilda Seeks New Home

In Novosibirsk, a home is being sought for Matilda, a cat abandoned at the dacha community. She is currently undergoing post-sterilization treatment at a clinic, but there is nowhere for her to go afterward.

As NGS was told by the cat«s caretaker, Tatyana, Matilda first appeared at their plot in October. They fed her and gave her warmth, but after a while, the cat disappeared.

«We hoped to the last that she was a house cat. But in May she came back to our plot and gave birth to kittens, and since then they have lived in our shed. My own cats never accepted her, so we cannot bring her into the house,» explained the Siberian woman.

The kittens found a temporary foster home in an apartment. Matilda is currently staying at the «Affordable Sterilization Point» in Nizhnyaya Yeltsovka, where she was operated on. Tatyana fears that without her kittens, Matilda might leave again, so she is urgently looking for new owners.

Matilda has been sterilized and will soon be vaccinated against viruses. Among the cat«s features noticed by veterinarians is a slight thickening of her hind paws, which may be a congenital joint disease characteristic of fold-eared cats.
