Will Grandfather Frost's Train Visit Samara Next Year?
The main winter wizard and his assistants have visited Samara several times, but they missed the 2025 visit.
It has become known whether Grandfather Frost from Veliky Ustyug will visit Samara during his next New Year tour. In December 2025, residents of the regional center missed out. The winter wizard only stopped in Tolyatti.
«It is not possible to visit all cities every year due to tight time frames and long distances, as well as considering the infrastructure»s capacity. The project«s geography is constantly expanding due to route variability and rotation of stops. For example, last year Grandfather Frost»s Train did not visit Tyumen, Barnaul, Kazan, Ulyanovsk, and this season these cities are included in the train«s route,» commented the head of the Kuibyshev Railway (KbZhD) Vyacheslav Dmitriev.
According to him, festive events under the «Grandfather Frost»s Train« project were held in Samara for four consecutive years, and in 2025 it was decided to make a stop in Tolyatti. 16,000 guests attended the celebration. However, next year Samara will be among the cities for a stop by Grandfather Frost»s Train.
That the regional center was not included in Grandfather Frost«s Train route became known back in early November last year. A few days later, Russian Railways (RZhD) explained why the main winter wizard would not visit Samara.
