Ice Sculpture 'Fishing' Wins Crystal Tomsk Festival

The ice sculpture «Fishing» was named the best at the «Crystal Tomsk» festival, according to the mayor«s press service.
«The results of the public online voting for the best ice sculpture of the »Crystal Tomsk« festival have been tallied. The winning piece – the ice sculpture »Fishing« – was recognized by viewers for its artistic depth and originality of execution,» the statement said.
The sculpture was made by masters from the Tomsk team «Snowflake.» They are professional artists Oleg Antukh and Sergey Bychkov, who have participated in the festival previously.
The «Crystal Tomsk» festival has been held in the city since 2014. Over several days, carvers from across the country create ice sculptures that then adorn Novo-Sobornaya Square until spring. The festival«s theme in 2025 is »My Homeland – Russia.« Carvers produced 10 compositions, including a cosmonaut, Ded Moroz (Father Frost) with Snegurochka (Snow Maiden), a fisherman, and others.
