Frosts, snow to hit Rostov Oblast on January 23
A brief warm spell will be replaced by snowfall and a temperature drop on January 23, according to the Rostov hydrometeorological center.

According to a bulletin from the Rostov Hydrometeorological Center, the warm spell will end in the region on January 23, and winter will return with frosts and snowfall.
In Rostov, the day will be cloudy with clear spells. Snow is expected, which in places will intensify to heavy, and a blizzard is possible. The snowfall will continue at night. Icy patches and snowdrifts will form on the roads. Wind speed will reach 8–13 m/s.
Temperatures in the city will drop slightly: during the day, -5…-3°C (23…27°F) is forecast, at night -9…-7°C (16…19°F).
Across the oblast, cloudy weather with clear spells will also set in. Snow of varying intensity — from light to moderate, and in some areas heavy — will fall during the day and night. In some places, a blizzard is possible. On highways, there will be icy patches, and during the day — snowdrifts.
Winds in the region will be similar to those in Rostov — 8–13 m/s, however in the Azov Sea area gusts will strengthen to 15–17 m/s.
Daytime temperatures across the oblast will range from -5 to -10°C (23 to 14°F), in the south up to -2°C (28°F). At night, thermometers will drop to -10…-5°C (14…23°F), and during clear spells to -16°C (3°F).
