On the afternoon of January 26, 2026, major Russian airlines Aeroflot, Pobeda, and Nordwind encountered a large-scale technical failure that affected key passenger service systems.
As explained by Rosaviatsia (the Federal Air Transport Agency), the incident was linked to a global malfunction in the domestic booking and ticket sales system Leonardo.
The Leonardo system was launched in 2022 to replace similar foreign solutions.
By 17:50 on January 26, the Leonardo system was restored, but the failure had already impacted departure and arrival schedules, leading to the cancellation of a number of flights.
The Ministry of Road Facilities and Transport of Yaroslavl Oblast confirmed that the mass failure did not affect the operations of Tunoshna Airport.
«No, there were no delays or cancellations,» the department stated.
According to the published schedule, on January 26, only one night flight by UVT Aero to Kazan at 22:35 was planned from Yaroslavl Airport. On January 27, at 19:00, an arrival from St. Petersburg is expected, and at 19:45, the aircraft will depart back to St. Petersburg.
