Police name list of most problematic roads in Omsk
In 2025, 1,406 traffic accidents were registered in the Omsk region, caused by traffic violations and poor road conditions. The majority — 1,177 accidents — occurred in Omsk, the rest in districts. Compared to 2024, the number of such incidents decreased by 221. The data was provided by the regional police department, according to NGS55.RU.
In the city, the largest number of incidents were recorded in the Kirovsky and Tsentralny districts. The analysis of accident hotspots for 2025 is not yet complete. However, in 2024, 69 dangerous roads were identified. Here is the list:
Krasny Put (Red Way) — 45 accidents: intersections with Frunze Street, 6th and 7th Severny (Northern) Streets, and the area of the Gorodok Vodnikov bus stop;
Lukashevicha Street — intersection with Komarov Avenue;
10 Let Oktyabrya (10th Anniversary of October) Street — intersections with 20th Liniya (Line), Bohdana Khmelnytskoho Street, and the area of the 16th Liniya bus stop;
Koneva Street — near building No. 14;
Kosmichesky (Cosmic) Avenue — the area of the Stolovaya (Canteen) bus stop.
«In accidents with unsatisfactory road conditions in 2025, 49 people died and 1,840 were injured to varying degrees in the municipal districts of the Omsk region. In Omsk, 30 people died and 1,529 were injured to varying degrees,» the department reported.
Previously, NGS55.RU reported that an intersection in Omsk was recognized as one of the most accident-prone in the country.
