Flights delayed in Volgograd amid global airline booking failure

The system failure requires manual check-in for passengers and their luggage.
Two flights from Moscow and St. Petersburg are delayed in Volgograd. This information appeared on the online departure board of Volgograd International Airport, and the delay may be related to a global failure in the Leonardo booking system.
According to Volgograd International Airport«s online board, Rossiya Airlines flight SU6115 from St. Petersburg is delayed by approximately 40 minutes. The flight was scheduled to land at Gumrak at 17:35, but is now expected at 18:15. Flight DP6969 from Moscow is also delayed. It is scheduled for 20:20, but the actual arrival time has been pushed back by 35 minutes to 20:55.
Meanwhile, Aeroflot, Pobeda, and Rossiya announced a global failure in the Leonardo booking system on the afternoon of January 26:
«The registration of passengers and baggage, as well as the issuance, reissuance, and refund of tickets and additional services are temporarily limited in all of the airline»s sales channels,« the airlines» messages state. «Schedule adjustments are possible. The service provider is currently taking measures to restore the system»s normal operation as soon as possible.«
Volgograd International Airport clarified that it is informing passengers about the booking system failure via loudspeaker announcements.
The Leonardo passenger service system is a fully Russian development that complies with International Air Transport Association (IATA) standards. According to Rostec, it is used by more than 60 Russian air carriers. In the summer of 2025, Rostec announced the formation of a competence center to implement the platform in Latin American countries, including a successfully completed project with the Venezuelan carrier Conviasa S.A.
