Orsk's Yuzhny Ural exchanges goalkeepers with Samara's CSK VVS

Orsk«s Yuzhny Ural, which is having a disastrous season in the VHL (Supreme Hockey League), has decided to refresh its roster via a trade (and not for »monetary compensation«, as was the case when captain Ilya Litvinov left for Samara»s CSK VVS).

This time, the agreement has been reached with the club from the neighboring city. Thus, 21-year-old goalie Danila Ovcharik is heading to CSK VVS, while 23-year-old Alexei Snytko, a Belarusian goalie, is moving in the opposite direction.

Ovcharik has played 22 matches this season, securing 6 wins, with a save percentage of 91% and a goals-against average of 2.44. Snytko has only played two games for CSK VVS in this campaign.
However, in the 2024/2025 season he played in the Betera Extraliga, appearing in 37 games with a save percentage of 92.6% and a goals-against average of 2.15. The goalie is a two-time bronze medalist of the Belarusian championship with HC Shakhtyor (Soligorsk), and also a winner of the Belarusian Higher League and the Tsyplakov Cup with the Pinch Hawks.
And that«s not all: Yuzhny Ural has signed a contract with another goalie—Yegor Kuvardin (born 2004). At the adult level, he has played in the NMHL for Proton Novovoronezh, where he received consistent playing time.
In the 2023/2024 season, he played 43 matches with a goals-against average of 2.53 and a save percentage of 91%. In the playoffs, he posted a save percentage of 94.3%. In the 2024/2025 season, he continued playing with a 92.4% save rate.
The team has also been bolstered by 21-year-old defenseman Arseny Pozhidaev, a product of Moscow«s hockey system. He has played in the MHL for MHK Spartak, in the VHL for Zaurale, and also had a tryout with Novokuznetsk Metallurg.
In the 2024/2025 season, he played 31 matches in the VHL, earning 4 points (1 goal + 3 assists). In the MHL, he has played over 50 matches per season.
