Polina Dibrova stands up for her lover amid divorce scandal

Polina Dibrova and Roman Tovstik spent the New Year together, as the couple no longer hides their relationship.
Polina Dibrova admitted that it was hard for her to live through the divorce and the scandal surrounding it. For a long time, she took sedatives and only recently was able to breathe a sigh of relief. The publication Starhit writes that the ex-wife of Dmitry Dibrov had dark thoughts.
“I would wake up and be afraid to pick up the phone. Every time there were a million messages, headlines… I stopped taking sedatives only two weeks ago, before that I was just living on them, my hands were shaking. I’m a normal person with a stable psyche—and for the first time in my life, I had a thought about suicide. I was just being pushed to the edge by lawyers, journalists, haters. You know, when people don«t actually know anything, but they put a label on you and destroy a person,” Dibrova confesses.
According to the woman, her lover Roman Tovstik also had a hard time. She says he suffered while living through the breakup of the family.
“If we had gone through this separately, I would have died. I would wake up in the morning because Roma was crying. He cried every morning. It was so painful and hard for him. Roma is an incredible father! He was so worried about the children, about Elena. He tried to help everyone: me, Elena, and the children,” Polina defends her chosen one.
Polina Dibrova and Roman Tovstik only recently began appearing together in public and stopped hiding their relationship. Some of Roman’s children live with them and are fond of their father’s new partner. She, in turn, has also found common ground with them. Polina assures that she is all for the children communicating with their mother Elena and restoring their relationship, which was damaged during the scandal.
“I am not trying to become a mother to Roman«s children. I just love him, and that means his children too. I want to make a comfortable life for them so they feel good. Anya and I (Tovstik»s daughter, who wrote a harsh letter to Elena. — Ed. note) once had a big fight. I tell her that she has only one mother,” Polina adds.
She believes children should live with their mother or decide the issue themselves if they have reached a certain age.
