Spending on Voronezh regional parliament and chairman could rise sharply

Spending on the Voronezh Regional Duma may sharply increase this year — by 84 million rubles (about $884,200 at current rates) compared to 2025. This is evidenced by data from the regional budget for the year.
According to the document, 472 million rubles (about $4,968,400) is planned to be spent on supporting the duma«s activities. For the activities of chairman Yuri Matuzov, 45.9 million rubles (about $483,200) is allocated.
Actual expenditures may turn out to be significantly lower. For example, last year, 386 million rubles (about $4,063,200) was spent from the regional budget on the work of the regional parliament — much less than the planned 484 million rubles (about $5,094,700). And for the chairman — who for most of last year was Vladimir Netesov — 34.9 million rubles (about $367,400) was spent instead of 40.9 million rubles (about $430,500).
Expenditures on the city duma and its chairman Andrei Dyachenko also increased in 2026. We covered this in more detail here. Spending on Voronezh Mayor Sergei Petrin increased by 19% this year. And support for the activities of governor Alexander Gusev became 11.8% more expensive.
