Kremlin announces trilateral meeting in Abu Dhabi — details

Trilateral talks on Ukraine in Abu Dhabi will continue in February. This was stated by Russian President«s press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
«The meeting of the trilateral security group is scheduled for February 1 in Abu Dhabi,» Peskov said in a conversation with RIA Novosti.
According to the Kremlin representative, Russia does not discuss lists of documents on Ukrainian settlement; all discussions are held behind closed doors. It is expected that the new round of meetings in Abu Dhabi will also be closed. Peskov noted that public discussion of details only harms the negotiations.
«These are very complex negotiations that began at the expert level. As you know, an agreement has been reached to continue them. The work will go on,» he told journalists.
In addition, the Russian delegation regularly receives instructions from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Two-day consultations on settling the Ukrainian conflict took place on January 23 and 24. Representatives from Russia, the United States, and Ukraine participated. The meetings were held in a highly closed format, without the presence of the press. It is presumed that they discussed terms of a potential peaceful settlement, including security issues and territorial disputes. The President of Ukraine after the consultations stated that Kyiv «under no circumstances» will abandon claims to lands.
