Where Teenagers Get Hired in Yaroslavl Region

Specialists from the Hh.ru service have published statistics for 2025 showing which sectors of the Yaroslavl Region economy most actively offered temporary employment to teenagers.
According to the study data, the top five by number of vacancies for minors in the region are as follows:
- «Sales, customer service» (20.6 thousand offers);
- «Retail trade» (8.7 thousand offers);
- «Domestic, service staff» (7.5 thousand offers);
- «Transport, logistics, shipping» (7 thousand offers);
- «Administrative staff» (5 thousand offers).
Analysts explained: «The most in-demand soft skills among young applicants are responsibility, punctuality, and teamwork. Among hard or professional skills are the ability to process orders, deliver goods, and navigate using a map. Employers are increasingly noting interest in candidates who already have internship experience or participation in school projects: this signals readiness for independence and discipline.»
Experts noted that teenagers more often focus on areas where a higher education diploma is not required, and employers are willing to provide a hybrid work schedule.
Hh.ru reminded about legislative norms: «According to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, teenagers aged 14-16 can engage in labor activity not only during holidays but also during the school year in their free time. However, if a minor combines study with work, the duration of their working hours should not exceed half the norm established for adults: for workers under 16 years old, this is 12 hours per week.»
Earlier, analysts pointed to the availability of high-paying offers for Yaroslavl residents without experience, where earnings could start from 100,000 rubles (approximately $1,100 at current rates).
