Omsk Seeks New Officials: Salaries in Government

The Omsk Oblast government has published several vacancies. They appeared on the «Work of Russia» website.
The Ministry of Education is seeking a chief specialist responsible for organizing children«s recreation and health improvement. The salary ranges from 36,000 to 43,000 rubles (approximately $360–$430 at current rates). Duties include participating in preparing proposals for children»s recreation and health improvement, work trips, and meetings. The candidate must develop draft legal acts, address complaints, and execute the minister«s instructions. Requirements include higher education, knowledge of PCs, and familiarity with legislation.
A chief specialist for work with enterprises and institutions is required in the Ministry of Property Relations. The salary is from 33,000 to 46,000 rubles (approximately $330–$460 at current rates). The employee must prepare and execute legal acts, inspect real estate objects owned by the region, prepare reports for authorized and controlling bodies, and participate in commissions for the liquidation of enterprises and institutions. The candidate must have a higher education in law or economics.
In the Ministry of Culture, a chief specialist in the department of obligation accounting, budget execution, and reporting of the economics and finance department is offered from 35,000 to 45,000 rubles (approximately $350–$450 at current rates). The candidate must prepare and control contract execution, receive bank statements, maintain a procurement register, and consult accounting services.
Another open vacancy is in the Ministry of Labor. The department needs a leading inspector in the occupational safety department. Duties include analyzing working conditions, investigating industrial accidents with severe and fatal outcomes, and compiling analytical and informational materials. The salary is from 31,000 to 35,000 rubles (approximately $310–$350 at current rates).
