New Salaries for Omsk Art Workers Approved, Figures Astonish

It has been revealed what the increased salaries for Omsk cultural workers are. According to a city administration resolution, the new amounts do not exceed 15,000 rubles (approximately $150 at current rates).
Workers in culture, art, and cinematography will receive from 7,152 to 10,019 rubles (approximately $72–$100), depending on their position. Management staff of institutions — 12,260 rubles (approximately $123). Additional education teachers — 8,658 rubles (approximately $87). For heads of structural units, salaries range from 13,058 to 14,014 rubles (approximately $131–$140).
Specific positions: branch manager, academic secretary, artistic director in museums, theaters, libraries, and cultural and leisure institutions — up to 13,058 rubles (approximately $131).
“The salary for workers in institutions performing professional duties as academic secretary of a library is 12,260 rubles (approximately $123),” states the resolution.
Support staff will receive from 6,090 (entry level) to 8,658 rubles (high rank in the cultural sphere) (approximately $61–$87).
