Employees Over 50 in High Demand in Yaroslavl Region

Experts from hh.ru explained what makes older workers valuable and in which industries they are most needed.

Employers in Yaroslavl Region are actively seeking to fill positions with workers over the age of 50.

In 2025, Yaroslavl employers sent over 120,000 job invitations to applicants aged 51 to 60. These data were provided by the online recruiting platform hh.ru.

“With age, people often seek stable, predictable, and less physically demanding types of activities. At the same time, many do not limit themselves to familiar professions — they master digital tools, undergo retraining, and successfully adapt to new market requirements. Employers, in turn, increasingly note the reliability, responsibility, and loyalty of older applicants,” explained hh.ru.

According to a survey by hh.ru conducted in September 2025, about 60% of Russian companies offer additional benefits to retired employees. These include extra days off, corporate pension programs, extended medical check-ups, as well as voluntary health insurance packages and social packages.

In Yaroslavl Region, workers over 50 are most often invited to the following sectors:

  • labor personnel;
  • transport, logistics, shipping;
  • sales, customer service;
  • domestic and service personnel;
  • production and maintenance service.
