Authorities have stated that the wage level of Tyumen residents is below the national average. Moreover, this trend has been observed for a long time. This information appeared in a document from the Department of Investment Policy and State Support for Entrepreneurship.

«Since 2021, the Tyumen Region has seen a lag in the average wage compared to the national average, with this gap increasing annually,» states the explanatory note of one of the projects published today, 23 January.

The Department of Investment Policy, while developing a new regulation on subsidies for entrepreneurs, included wage requirements for employees. It must be at least 46,000 rubles (about $511 at current rates).

«The average monthly wage of employees must be no lower than 1.5 times the minimum wage set as of 1 January 2026,» the document states.

Recall that earlier official statistics indicated that the average salary in Tyumen is 112,000 rubles (about $1,200 at current rates) per month.

For example, doctors (according to the Territorial Fund of Compulsory Medical Insurance, TFOMS) receive 140,000 rubles (about $1,600 at current rates). Earlier we wrote about what salaries and conditions are offered by large Tyumen enterprises. Managers at factories can expect an income of almost 200,000 rubles (about $2,200 at current rates).
