Three People Killed in Accident Near Arzamas
A head-on collision between a Skoda and Chevrolet on the R-158 highway resulted in three fatalities.
Details of the fatal traffic accident on the R-158 highway near Arzamas were released by the State Labor Inspectorate of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The accident claimed the lives of employees of the Corporation for the Development of Industry and Entrepreneurship of the region.
The incident occurred on January 20. On the highway, a Skoda and a Chevrolet collided. Initially, two fatalities and two injuries were reported, but later one of the wounded died from sustained injuries.
All three deceased were employees of this corporation. Among them were a 51-year-old driver, a 57-year-old senior project manager, and a 47-year-old project manager who died in a medical facility after severe injuries.
The trip to Arzamas was business-related: the employees were heading to visit one of the enterprises.
The corporation is involved in supporting entrepreneurship in the Nizhny Novgorod region and reports to the region«s ministry of industry and trade.
In another incident on the highway in the Pochinkovsky district (Nizhny Novgorod region), a head-on collision led to the death of one person and the hospitalization of two others.
