Work to eliminate the break on the heat pipeline was completed ahead of schedule. The press service of JSC «Teploset St. Petersburg» confirmed on January 30 that heating in residential buildings in the shutdown zone has been fully restored.
A report of a pipeline break at 33 Veterans Avenue came in the morning of January 30. As a result of the incident, sixty houses on several streets were left without heat: Veterans Avenue, Dachny, Stachek, and Leni Golikov Street.
Specialists from «Teploset» replaced the emergency section of the main—which was laid in 1990—by 21:50. They installed 12 meters of new pipeline with a diameter of 400 mm. Hot water supply to consumers was not turned off during the repair.
