Engineer vanishes after corporate party in Moscow region
In Noginsk, Moscow region, under strange circumstances, a 24-year-old engineer from the filter manufacturing company Barrier, Vadim Rachkov, went missing. On December 29, he was at a corporate party and after the celebration, sent all his colleagues by taxi. He said he would walk home. More than two weeks have passed since that day, and Vadim Rachkov still hasn«t been found.
Description: height 170 cm (5 ft 7 in), stocky build, light hair, blue eyes. Was wearing: black short jacket, white shirt, black trousers, black boots.
MSK1.RU spoke with the engineer«s mother, who told details about her son»s disappearance.
«He didn«t return home from the corporate party. For some reason, he didn»t take a taxi but walked towards some village. We checked the cameras, looked. I clearly saw that my son got lost,» the missing engineer«s mother said. «He recently moved to Noginsk, moved out from us. When he entered the dacha village, he just walked in circles because he didn»t know how to get out. He had a little to drink, even though he shouldn«t — he has kidney problems.»
Vadim«s mother turned to the LisaAlert volunteer search group, asked for help from locals in searching for her son. Together with concerned people, they combed the forest, trying to find the man there. But everything was useless. The engineer»s mother contacted the police on December 31, but the criminal investigation department handling the case states that officers don«t have access to cameras and hospital data.
«We«re doing everything we can on our own,» Vadim»s mother shared. «I don«t know where to turn anymore. Some boy wrote in a local group that he saw my son on January 8 at a bus stop. I asked him: »Is it really him?« He said yes. According to him, my son was sitting frozen, with his head buried in his jacket. And my son at that moment had a thin jacket, black pants, and a white shirt. That boy shone his headlights on his face, but Vadim hid it. The guy realized that the son was frozen, completely chilled, but didn»t immediately understand that it was the missing person. Half an hour later, he returned to that bus stop, but Vadim was already gone.»
According to the missing man«s mother, today they plan to go with volunteers to the area where Vadim was last seen.
«So much time has already passed. It«s unclear whether he»s alive or not, at all,» the mother said. «Moreover, there was no conflict at the corporate party. When the son was walking, he called his friend Vlad. And he told that the son was somehow agitated, angry. And he asked him: «Why are you walking?» He answered: «Leave me alone, I»ll figure it out myself, here«s the stop, I»ll sit down now, sit for a while.« And he told Vlad that he argued with his boss. But I know my son. He»s calm and kind, he can«t argue with anyone. Especially with the boss, who helped him.»
Earlier we reported that the family of a missing swimmer in Turkey was invited to a meeting with Vladimir Putin. The family returned to Russia to again ask the president for help.
