Cameras Expose Young Drifter Driving Drunk in BMW

The dangerous driving of a BMW was captured by surveillance cameras in the Moskovsky District of St. Petersburg. After reviewing the footage, inspectors from the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate (GAI) identified the make and license plate, allowing them to quickly locate and detain the offender.

The driver was a 19-year-old local resident. A medical examination confirmed that he was driving under the influence of alcohol.

During document checks and car inspection, officers doubted the authenticity of its identification data. Consequently, the BMW was moved to a specialized lot for further examination.

In a January 30 statement, the State Traffic Inspectorate noted: “While the driver awaits court proceedings, he will lose his car and have the chance to thoroughly study the Traffic Rules.”
