Margarita Simonyan reveals wigless look after breast cancer chemo

Margarita Simonyan has published her first photo after chemotherapy without a wig. The television host has been battling breast cancer since autumn 2025.

«Do not fear anything. God is, and death is not,» she captioned the photo.

The journalist first spoke about her illness in September, although she initially did not name the diagnosis and avoided details. Later, Margarita admitted that her breast cancer appeared after her husband Tigran Keosayan fell into a coma in December last year. According to Simonyan, for the first forty days, she hardly left the hospital, and anxiety for her loved one undermined her strength.

After the death of her husband Tigran Keosayan, who died in September after spending almost a year in a coma without regaining consciousness, work became an outlet for Simonyan. After several courses of chemotherapy, she appeared on the talk show of Vladimir Solovyov in a wig.
