Krasnoyarsk residents share dental treatment fears over high costs
Dental patients in Krasnoyarsk frequently worry about treatment costs while in the dentist«s chair.

Readers are sounding the alarm — dental treatments are too expensive in clinics, so in their opinion, many are choosing online marketplaces instead.
‘With such prices in dental clinics, people will be driven not only to marketplaces…’, writes a user with the username Lyudmila Bessarab.
But, judging by the story of one reader, in some cases expensive doesn«t mean good:
‘I lost three teeth while visiting the dentist. Fillings would fall out after a month or two, and back to the «dentist». Three times is enough to «treat» a molar like that, and that«s it — the next time it just falls apart into pieces…’, says a user with the username A.
‘What a problem! Half the country is without teeth, including me. They charge a lot of money, in state clinics they do it the old-fashioned way, and in private businesses — they patch it up, and after six months everything falls apart again’, adds a user with the username Irina Molochkova.
Some simply find their regular doctor and trust him.
‘In childhood, I was afraid of dental procedures. Now I«m not afraid of procedures, I»m afraid of prices. Therefore, I try to regularly go for sanitation to my regular doctor’, writes a user with the username Enot Postrigun.
Others recall the «trend» of treating teeth in another country, for example, in China.
‘In China, getting teeth done is several times cheaper than in Russia. We go on vacation to Turkey or Thailand because it«s cheaper than in Sochi. Interestingly, we are developing the business of other countries, but many of our people, due to low salaries and loans, cannot get their teeth done. It is necessary to include prosthetics and treatment, like medical check-ups, as mandatory for Russians’, shares a user with the username Tatyana Alexandrovna.
Earlier, NGS24.RU reported that Krasnoyarsk residents have been more frequently identified with tooth damage due to self-treatment, including from homemade fillings bought on online marketplaces.
Patients are found to have micro-damage to enamel, hidden cracks, gum inflammation. Often, teeth are damaged due to whitening strips and high-concentration pastes with aggressive chemical components, ultrasonic cleaning devices without cooling function, the center explained.
Another common cause is homemade fillings from online marketplaces, which can be installed at home, but which do not eliminate bacteria and continue to destroy teeth.
