Head of Tatarstan Cancer Center Dismissed for Loss of Trust

Ildar Khidiyatov, the head physician of the Republican Clinical Oncological Dispensary (RCOD), was dismissed due to loss of trust. The prosecutor«s office demanded this, as reported by the supervisory authority itself.
According to the prosecutor«s office, the head physician provided incomplete or incorrect information about his own income, expenses, and property.
RCOD entered into state contracts with companies linked to the hospital. For example, it turned out that contractors for state orders paid for the head physician«s household appliances and car rental.
Moreover, Khidiyatov concealed property worth 17 million rubles (approximately $188,900 at current rates) by registering it under a relative«s name. He also failed to report that he had insured his life for 5 million rubles (approximately $55,600 at current rates).
Tatarstan Prosecutor Albert Suyargulov submitted a proposal to the republic«s health minister demanding the dismissal of the oncology dispensary»s head.
Khidiyatov became the head physician of RCOD in 2018. Prior to that, he headed the Zelenodolsk Central City Hospital from 2009. Earlier still, he was the head of the Pestretsy Central District Hospital. He began his medical career at the Republican Clinical Hospital in 1998. Khidiyatov was awarded honors from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan, including the jubilee medal «In Memory of the 1000th Anniversary of Kazan.» Additionally, Khidiyatov holds the title of Honored Doctor of Tatarstan.
In September 2025, in Tatarstan, the head physician of the Naberezhnye Chelny Narcological Dispensary, Ramil Satdarov, was detained. He was accused of fraud involving embezzlement of budget funds and official forgery. He is currently under arrest.
