In Tula Oblast, over the past week from January 19 to 25, the seasonal incidence of flu and ARVI sharply declined. The data was provided by the regional Rospotrebnadzor.
Thus, the total number of Tula residents who fell ill with flu and ARVI last week was 3,437 people. A week earlier, this number reached 4,142 people. The overall indicator fell by 17%.
Of this number, 29 Tula residents contracted flu, while a week earlier there were 82. Here, the number decreased by 2.8 times.
It is likely that the previous surge in incidence was related to the end of the New Year holidays — a large number of people returned to work and social institutions en masse.
At the same time, the indicator does not exceed the epidemiological threshold.
To reduce the risk of contracting flu and ARVI, Tula residents are advised to reduce time spent in places with mass gatherings of people and wear masks. At the first symptoms of illness, it is worth staying home and calling a doctor.
