Don't Be Afraid: Margarita Simonyan Shows Herself Without Hair

2025 has been a truly difficult year for Margarita Simonyan. After the death of her husband Tigran Keosayan, the journalist learned she had breast cancer. She underwent surgery, went through a long course of chemotherapy, and complained that due to the illness, her skin condition worsened and she lost her hair. She appeared on air in wigs that closely resembled her real hair, but now she has decided to show how she really looks.

‘Don«t be afraid of anything. God exists, and death does not,’ she captioned the photo.
Within just a few minutes of posting, Simonyan«s fans wrote hundreds of comments expressing support and wishing her a recovery.
‘Margarita, you are beautiful. Any hairstyle suits you,’ wrote a follower under the username Lana.
‘Hair isn«t arms or legs — it will grow back even more beautiful,’ Anastasia added in the comments.
Margarita often opens up to her channel«s subscribers. It was to them that she first spoke about her illness and all the family difficulties. A year ago in January, Margarita also shared news that her husband Tigran Keosayan had experienced clinical death and fell into a coma, and afterwards she provided updates on her husband»s condition. For nine months, the head of RT (Russia Today) stayed by his side, and due to constant worries and thoughts of the worst, as she herself says, she ‘grew cancer within herself.’
‘Never do this! Don«t click! In November, I had a checkup, and there was nothing. In December, everything happened with Tigran, and I literally grew cancer in myself lightning fast,’ Margarita wrote in her blog.
After her husband«s death in September 2025, Simonyan is raising three minor children alone, helping her mother and mother-in-law, and also continuing her husband»s endeavor — hosting the program ‘C.T.D.’ (16+).
