Residents of Omsk from various districts of the city complain almost daily about ice-covered sidewalks and asphalt. Many ironically call the streets a «skating rink,» which is dangerous to walk on, especially for elderly people and children. To understand the consequences, photojournalist Evgeny Sofiychuk from NGS55.RU went to the trauma center at City Hospital No. 3 on Energitikov Street.

In the reception area, fractures and bruises are only part of what residents face after walks on slippery streets. What a typical day in the trauma center looks like is in the report.

Previously, NGS55.RU showed how Omsk residents dress during real Siberian frosts. It turns out that such weather doesn«t scare them: city residents bravely go out onto the streets, and some even manage to walk without hats and in summer sneakers. You can view the photo report here.
