Vladivostok wins 3 million rubles for best New Year square decoration

A variety of objects linked to the symbol of 2026 have been set up on Revolution Fighters Square.
The New Year decoration of Revolution Fighters Square in Vladivostok has been recognized as the best in Primorsky Krai. The city received 3 million rubles (approximately $40,000 at current rates) as part of a regional competition, according to the administration«s press service.
Also in the top three were Dalnegorsk, which received 2 million rubles (about $27,000), and Chernigovsky Municipal District – it was paid 1 million rubles (about $13,000) for third place.
Six more winners received money as part of additional nominations. The criteria for these are not specified, but the list includes Khorolsky Municipal District, Artyom, Ussuriysk, Partizansk, Spassk-Dalny, and again Dalnegorsk. They will each receive 1 million rubles (about $13,000).
Moreover, winners have been determined for six additional nominations, who will receive 1 million rubles each. These include Khorolsky Municipal District, the cities of Artyom, Ussuriysk, and Dalnegorsk, Partizansk City Municipal District, and Spassk-Dalny City District.
The winners were determined by an interdepartmental commission, and the municipalities plan to use the prize money for the improvement of cities and districts.
The authorities of Vladivostok have set the dates for dismantling the New Year town on Revolution Fighters Square. Work to disassemble the holiday structures will begin on February 2, the city hall reported.
