Severe frosts to hit Volgograd region for another day

Meteorologists are warning residents of Volgograd region about another extremely cold night. Temperatures could drop to -30°C (-22°F), but already on Wednesday, January 28, a rapid warming will begin. Daily fluctuations will reach up to 24 degrees Celsius (43 degrees Fahrenheit).
In the night to January 27, no precipitation is expected in the region, but roads will remain slippery. The wind will be southern and southeastern with speeds of 5-10 m/s at night and 7-12 m/s during the day. Nighttime temperatures will be -20 to -25°C (-4 to -13°F), in some areas down to -30°C (-22°F). During the day, it will warm up to -13 to -18°C (9 to 0°F). In Volgograd, nighttime is forecast at -22°C (-8°F), daytime at -13°C (9°F).
On January 28, light snow is expected in places, with possible ice, fog, and black ice. The wind will strengthen to 12-14 m/s. Nighttime temperature -13 to -18°C (9 to 0°F), clearing to -25°C (-13°F), daytime from -10 to -1°C (14 to 30°F). In the regional center, nighttime -15°C (5°F), daytime -4°C (25°F).
January 29 will be relatively warm with precipitation. At night and in the morning — icy and frosty phenomena, fog. Wind gusts up to 12-14 m/s. Nighttime -1 to -6°C (30 to 21°F), clearing to -7 to -12°C (19 to 10°F), daytime from -3 to +2°C (27 to 36°F). In Volgograd, nighttime -5°C (23°F), daytime around 0°C (32°F).
