Ryazan bans storing explosives in architectural monuments

The State Inspection for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Objects in Ryazan Oblast has approved protection items and obligations for the owners of six cultural heritage sites located in Ryazan.
A protection obligation has been established for the object «Pokrovskaya Church» built between 1761 and 1813, located at 57a Sovetskaya Street in the Mervino microdistrict. The church is operational.
Also, corresponding documents have been approved for cultural heritage sites of regional significance at 46 Svobody Street. These include the building of the Diocesan Women«s School from 1880, which houses the main building of Ryazan State University (RSU), and a church building from 1898.
At 49/2 Pervomaysky Prospect, protection items and obligations have been approved for the object «Alexandrovskaya Teachers» Seminary« from the late 19th century. Currently, this building houses the Faculty of Economics of RSU.
A protection obligation has also been established for the object «Building of the former Romanovskaya School» built in 1913 at 15 Seminarskaya Street, where the Law Faculty of RSU is located.
In addition, protection items have been approved for the cultural heritage site of regional significance «Building of the Prisoner Companies» from the 19th century at 6 Kashirina Street. Currently, the building houses City Hospital No. 8. The protection items define the external architectural appearance of the structure, including facade finishes, window and door openings, and staircases.
The documents emphasize that owners and other right holders of plots with cultural heritage sites located on them are obligated to maintain the buildings in proper condition, ensure the preservation and immutability of their historical appearance, not use the sites for storing explosive and flammable materials, production with vibrational impact, chemical laboratories, and not allow the deterioration of the adjacent territory.
