The Eighth Cassation Court of General Jurisdiction refused to satisfy the lawsuit of a former prisoner who demanded 111 trillion rubles and nine kopecks (approximately 1.2 trillion USD at current rates) from the prosecutor«s office of Krasnoyarsk Krai. This was reported by the court»s press service.

The prisoner, surnamed Vakhmistrov, claimed that in August 2021 he was illegally placed on a preventive register as prone to suicide. At that time, he was undergoing treatment in another institution and, according to him, could not be present during the drafting of the reports. Vakhmistrov also alleged that the report on his refusal to sign was falsified because no one offered him to sign the documents.

He filed a lawsuit and demanded that the actions of the employees of the Krasnoyarsk Krai prosecutor«s office be declared illegal because, in his opinion, he was not informed about the results of the inspection conducted on his complaint. He assessed his moral damage at 111 trillion rubles and nine kopecks (approximately 1.2 trillion USD at current rates).

In March 2025, the Central District Court of Krasnoyarsk refused to satisfy the lawsuit, considering that Vakhmistrov had been notified of the inspection results. In August, the appeal upheld this decision, and in January, the cassation court made the same ruling.
