Over 330 kg of substandard dairy seized in Udmurtia
In 2025, authorities in Udmurtia seized 337 kilograms of dairy products that failed to meet sanitary standards, the regional consumer protection service reported.

In Udmurtia, 337 kilograms of dairy products not meeting sanitary norms were seized in 2025, according to the press service of the regional Rospotrebnadzor (the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being).
Overall, last year, specialists from the agency collected 4,245 samples of dairy products. Discrepancies in microbiological indicators were identified in 27 of them.
Furthermore, in 14 samples, discrepancies in falsification indicators were identified. This means that producers could have replaced dairy fat with vegetable fat (such as palm, soybean, or rapeseed oil), indicated incorrect fat content, and so on. Similar violations were detected in 11 samples of butter (found in the retail chains of LLC «Torgservis18», LLC «Tabysh», JSC «Tander», LLC «Element-Trade», and the cafeteria of the Yukamenskaya Secondary School), in one sample of cheese (found in a store of the LLC «Torgservis18» chain), and one sample of sour cream (found in a store of the LLC «Torgservis18» chain).
In addition, Rospotrebnadzor specialists identified 7 cases of incorrect labeling of dairy products.
As a result of the inspections, 27 batches of dairy products with a total weight of 337 kilograms were seized due to violations of expiration dates, storage conditions, and non-compliance with hygienic indicators.
