Vladivostok Kindergartens Launch Duty Groups Under Presidential Directive

Vladivostok authorities are launching a new format for municipal kindergartens: from February 1, duty groups with extended hours for children will appear in the city«s preschool institutions. The decision was made on the instruction of Vladivostok head Konstantin Shestakov and will affect all districts of the regional center.
The city administration noted that duty groups are intended for children who are already pupils of specific kindergartens. The new format will allow parents to pick up their children later than usual, which is especially relevant for those who work late or on shift schedules.
«Care and supervision for children in duty groups will be provided until 8:00 PM. Parents who need this service must first contact the kindergarten management,» reported the Vladivostok Department for Municipal Educational Institutions.
Duty groups will open in kindergartens in the Leninsky, Sovetsky, Frunzensky, Pervorechensky, and Pervomaysky districts, including institutions on Neibuta, Svetlanskaya, 100th Anniversary of Vladivostok Avenue, Anna Shchetinina, Sabaneyeva, Volkova, and other streets. The list also includes kindergartens on Russky Island and in the Ekipazhny district.
