Support for Families in Krasnodar Krai Beyond Maternal Capital

In Russia, families with children have access to various state support measures: from one-time payments at birth to monthly benefits, maternal capital, and privileges. Regardless of income, region, or number of children, assistance is provided to millions.
Information about what payments exist in Krasnodar Krai, who is eligible for them, and how to apply was provided to the portal 93.RU in response to a query at the regional branch of the Social Fund of Russia (SFR).
Maternal Capital
The main benefit that every woman who gives birth receives is a certificate for maternal capital. Starting February 1, 2026, for the first child, the mother will receive 729,000 rubles (approximately $7,300 at current rates), and for the second — an additional 234,000 rubles (approximately $2,300).
Funds from maternal capital can be used to improve housing conditions, children«s education, the mother»s (or father«s) funded pension, monthly payments for any child up to 3 years old, social adaptation and integration into society for children with disabilities, or payment of the remaining maternal capital if it does not exceed 10,000 rubles (approximately $100).
If the family did not receive support at the birth of the first child, then at the birth of the second, they can immediately receive the full amount — that is, 963,000 rubles (approximately $9,600).
Maternity Benefit
Women can also count on maternity benefit. These funds are received by working women, those dismissed due to the liquidation of an organization, or those studying full-time. The amount depends on the average earnings over the two previous years.
Dismissed women will receive a maximum of 19,817 rubles (approximately $198), which is the subsistence minimum. In other cases, it all depends on salary.
One-Time Childbirth Benefit
There is also a one-time benefit at the birth of a child in the amount of 26,941 rubles (approximately $269). This payment can be arranged through the employer. If parents do not work, they can apply for the money at the client service of the regional branch of the Social Fund or on the Gosuslugi portal. The application must be submitted within six months after birth.
Monthly Childcare Benefit for Children Up to 1.5 Years
Another support measure is the monthly childcare benefit for children up to 1.5 years. The payment will be 40% of the average earnings over the two previous years, but not less than 10,103 rubles (approximately $101) and not more than 83,021 rubles (approximately $830). The benefit can be arranged through the employer based on leave for childcare up to three years and an application for benefit payment.
If parents do not work, they must submit an application to the Social Fund, the Multifunctional Center (MFC), or on Gosuslugi no later than six months after the child reaches 1.5 years.
Unified Benefit for Low-Income Families
This support measure is provided to pregnant women who registered before 12 weeks, and families with children up to 17 years old. But specialists first conduct a comprehensive assessment of the family«s needs.
The benefit amount for families depends on family income and can be 50, 75, or 100% of the child«s subsistence minimum. This is 8,818, 13,227, or 17,636 rubles (approximately $88, $132, or $176) respectively. Or the benefit can depend on the income of pregnant women and range from 9,908 to 19,817 rubles (approximately $99 to $198).
To receive the benefit, the income per family member must not exceed 18,181 rubles (approximately $182).
