Stavropol Krai is preparing to expand support measures for young families. The new payments were announced by the region«s governor, Vladimir Vladimirov, on his Telegram channel.
According to him, more than a thousand young women from Stavropol have already used the support measure introduced last year. This refers to a one-time allowance of 100,000 rubles (approximately $1,100 at current rates) for full-time students of universities and colleges who register for pregnancy at medical institutions.
As the governor noted, this support measure will be maintained in 2026. Moreover, the regional authorities plan to go further and prepare a new payment for student families.
This involves a one-time payment of 200,000 rubles (approximately $2,200 at current rates) upon the birth of a child. Currently, according to the governor, all parameters of the program are being coordinated.
The governor expects that the program will be adopted as early as February. At the same time, an option is being considered where families with children already born from January 1, 2026, will also be able to receive the payment.
