The Civil Registry Office of Novosibirsk Region has released data on the most common and rare names given to newborns in 2025, with Eva being the most popular for girls.

In Novosibirsk Region in 2025, boys were most often named Artem, Alexander, Matvey, and Ivan, according to the press service of the region«s Civil Registry Office.
Among the rare names chosen for sons were Nazar, Ruslan, Firdavs, Leon, Demid, James, Dias, Miron, Damir, and Yakov.
The most popular female name in the region was Eva, given to 437 newborns, with Varvara also ranking in the top five.
Parents least frequently selected names such as Nergis, Yadviga, Isabella, Mira, Yesenia, Catalina, Carolina, Agata, Lubava, Elia, Pelageya, Aglaya, Evelina, and Amelia for their daughters.
Earlier, it was reported that in 2025, more than 200 girls under 18 became mothers.
