Krasnoyarsk residents barred from divorcing on specific days — here's why

The civil registry agency of Krasnoyarsk Krai has launched the campaign «Let»s Say NO to Divorces!« and is introducing a »day without divorces«. On such days, registry offices in the region will refuse to register divorces. It will occur once a month, and the first such day will be February 14.

Moreover, as the agency reports, its employees together with professional psychologists will now hold meetings and consultations for couples who have decided to divorce. They will also inform them «about opportunities to receive necessary consultation help from specialists, by distributing specially prepared leaflets.»

«We will help our families regain the warmth of the home hearth and the joy of shared married life. Remember, love and care can overcome any difficulties,» the regional agency reports on its social media pages.
