Yaroslavl man seeks love on popular dating show
33-year-old Nikita from Yaroslavl went to find love on the popular show «Speed Dating» on VKontakte. He tried to impress Liza Yushchuk, a 34-year-old member of the «Napoleon Dynamite» team from the Higher League of KVN (Club of the Merry and Quick-Witted).
During the filming, Nikita said that he plays sports and works as a steward in Moscow.
«I work as a flight attendant for a charter airline. I»ve never been married. I«ve only had two relationships, when I was younger,» the Yaroslavl man noted.
The man admitted that he had never watched episodes of «Speed Dating» before.
«My sister sent me here. I don»t even know what photos of mine she sent or what she wrote about me,« Nikita admitted.
Liza liked the young man, but she immediately noted that she didn«t feel any special attraction.
«I think he»s nervous, and I can understand that. He«s very nice, attractive, he has such beautiful eyes. In life, he»s intelligent. But I wouldn«t say we had a match,» Liza Yushchuk summarized.
Nikita was not chosen for a date with the comedian.
The format of the program is as follows: ten participants take turns trying to impress the hosts — Olga Parfenyuk, Olesya Ivanchenko, and Katya Vyalikova, as well as the invited guest for whom a match is being sought. In the end, a winner is chosen, but mutual interest is important: both must agree to go on a date.
If the attraction is mutual, the program gives 30,000 rubles (approximately $300 at current rates) for a joint vacation. If not, the participant who is rejected receives a monetary consolation prize.
