Barnaul«s »Forest Fairy Tale« zoo offers a great chance to take a break from studies and celebrate Student»s Day. On January 25, all students can visit the zoo by paying only 100 rubles (approx. $1 at current rates) for an admission ticket. The promotion applies to students of all forms of education, both full-time and part-time. The main requirement is to present a valid student ID upon entry.

On January 24, the Shukshin Drama Theater will stage the play «King Lear» (16+) based on the famous tragedy by William Shakespeare. The audience will see the story of a king who, in his declining years, decides to retire and divide his kingdom among his three daughters. However, he first asks each to declare how much they love him.

On the same day, January 24, the Musical Theater will host the musical «Monte Cristo. I am Edmond Dantes» (16+). What happens when a person tries on the role of God? A young, hopeful, life-loving man named Edmond Dantes becomes the victim of a fatal series of circumstances. A traitor«s denunciation destroys his entire fate in an instant: instead of a happy life, he faces loneliness; instead of the open sea — a dark cell in the Chateau d»If, where Edmond is to spend fourteen years.

Simply «Like Children», 16+
On January 25, the Barnaul Fortress Theater invites you to an evening of sparkling humor from the trio of Petr Vins, Dmitry Nikulin, and Alexander Fedorov. The artists will present both the best sketches from the golden fund of the KVN (Club of the Funny and Inventive) team «The Children of Lieutenant Schmidt» and completely new acts. Expect songs, jokes, dancing, and exciting audience interaction — an entertaining show where classic humor meets stand-up elements.

Izumrudny (Emerald) Park, 0+
On January 24, Izumrudny Park will be the center of attraction for students and staff of educational institutions. The All-Russian campaign «Zachyotny STUDzaBEG» — a student relay race — will take place here, where anyone can test their strength on a distance of up to 5 kilometers (3.1 miles). Age and fitness level do not matter.
Participant gathering and start — every Saturday at: 128 Komsomolsky Prospekt. Before the run, organizers hold a brief briefing for beginners, explaining the route and basic rules.
