Vitya AK Performed with Buranovo Grannies on 'Konfetka'

In a recent episode of the program «Konfetka» on the TNT channel, several representatives from the Urals performed, including both celebrities and ordinary people.

The show«s format involves popular artists performing little-known songs from the internet. The composer of the song that the audience and jury deem the best receives a cash prize of 500,000 rubles (about $5,500 at current rates).

One of the episode«s heroes was 38-year-old lawyer Eduard Shar from Yekaterinburg. His humorous clip »Lieutenant Colombo,« filmed with friends four years ago after watching the series, was covered by Timur Batrudinov. Timur took the stage accompanied by the MVD (Ministry of Internal Affairs) choir and admitted that surpassing the original was not easy.

Eduard Shar did not make it to the finals, but another Urals native — Vitya AK — brought victory to Dmitry Zaretsky from Altai Krai. Dmitry recorded an autobiographical track about his love for hip-hop.

Together with Vitya AK, the «Buranovo Grannies» appeared on stage, touchingly performing the choruses using the diminutive words «khip-khopushka» and «khip-khopon»ka« for hip-hop.

Dmitry Zaretsky shared his impressions: «To be honest, I am very impressed. You could say I»m even in shock.« Vitya AK commented: »My underground guys will probably be a little surprised. Although that«s roughly how it all started. I liked it.»

Dmitry became the episode«s winner and received 500,000 rubles (about $5,500). He promised to use these funds for the development of his own recording studio and for gifts for children. The performance was also actively supported by jury member Klava Koka, who asked Vitya AK to release this track officially.

Previously, the comedy team «Ural Dumplings» participated in the show «Konfetka,» and in one of the past seasons, the Ural rapper MC Kisulya appeared on air.
