Vitya AK and Buranovo Grannies light up TNT's Konfetka
In the latest episode of the show «Konfetka» on TNT, several Urals residents appeared, both stars and ordinary people.
On the project, popular stars cover not very popular songs from the internet. In the program, one of the authors wins, whose creation the audience and jury recognize as a «candy». The winner takes a prize of 500,000 rubles (about $5,600 at current rates).
Thus, 38-year-old lawyer from Yekaterinburg Eduard Shar became one of the heroes, whose song was covered by a star. On the show, he appeared with his clip «Lieutenant Colombo». As the author admitted, they shot the humorous clip with friends four years ago, and the idea came after rewatching the series.
The cover of the song was taken on by Timur Batrutdinov, who appeared on stage together with the MVD choir. Timur himself admitted that surpassing the original was difficult, but the performance was ultimately appreciated by both the hosts, the jury members, and the song«s author.
Eduard did not make it to the final, but another Urals resident — Vitya AK brought victory to Dmitry Zaretsky from Altai Krai (a region in Russia), who recorded an autobiographical track about his love for hip-hop.
Together with Vitya AK, the track was performed on stage by the «Buranovskie Babushki» (the Buranovo Grannies, a folk group), who very kindly sang choruses about «hip-hopushka» and «hip-hopon»ka«.
«To be honest, I am very impressed. One could say, even in shock,» said Dmitry after the performance.
«My underground guys will probably be a bit surprised. Although that»s roughly how it all started. I liked it,« said Vitya AK.
Dmitry became the winner of the episode and took the prize of 500,000 rubles (about $5,600), which he promised to spend on developing a recording studio and on gifts for children. This track and its cover were actively supported by another Urals woman on the jury — Klava Koka, who also earnestly asked Vitya AK-47 to release this track for real.
Recently, the show «Konfetka» was put on by «Ural»skie Pelmeni«, and in the previous season of the program, Urals rapper MC Kisulya made it into one of the broadcasts.
