Perm residents complain to Rospotrebnadzor over cancelled Nutcracker ice show
The ice show features a blend of ballet, figure skating, and live orchestral music.
On January 3, the show «The Nutcracker on Ice with a Symphony Orchestra» (6+) was supposed to take place at the UDS «Molot», but the organizers cancelled the tour. Residents of Perm are complaining to Rospotrebnadzor that they are not getting refunds for their tickets.
The show «The Nutcracker on Ice with a Symphony Orchestra» was performed in the capital and other cities in 2025, but in the fall, performances began to be cancelled en masse. «The Nutcracker» was not shown in Kemerovo, Samara, Tolyatti, Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg and Omsk. In Perm, tickets for the show remained on sale for a long time, and the performance was cancelled only 12 days before the show.
The organizers, LLC «Ledovye Sezony» (Ice Seasons), explained to 59.RU that the cancellation was due to technical issues and promised to reschedule it for other dates. The company said that those who wish can keep their tickets—they will remain valid. For those who decided to return them, the organizers promised to provide information about refund details on their website.
Later, the organizers published an official appeal to viewers on their website.
«It is difficult for us to write this, but we want to be honest with you,» wrote the organizers. «In the current season, shows of »The Nutcracker on Ice with a Symphony Orchestra« in many cities had to be cancelled due to numerous financial problems.»
«Ledovye Sezony» promised that in the 2026–2027 season, the show will definitely be held, and clarified when they will start refunding money for returned tickets.
«Also, we are now doing everything possible to respond to all received letters and refund requests,» the appeal states. «To our great regret, we were not prepared for such a dramatic turn of events, and we need more time to resolve the current situation. We will be able to start fulfilling our refund obligations starting from January 20. Send refund requests to the email vozvraty@iceseasons.show.»
On January 26, the regional Rospotrebnadzor reported that residents of Perm had contacted the office, complaining that they are not getting refunds for the cancelled ice show. Rospotrebnadzor told 59.RU that 10 people had filed complaints.
«If the organizers do not refund consumers» money voluntarily, the office will file lawsuits in defense of consumers,« Rospotrebnadzor told 59.RU.
On the show«s website, a sales calendar for 2026 has already appeared, but it is not active. The date for the tour in Perm is still unknown.
