In a conversation with a correspondent from NGS55.RU, the owner explained the high price. The reason is that imported dolls are now banned in Russia, and these specimens are limited edition. When they were released, only about ten minutes were given for purchase, and all the dolls were immediately sold out.

«The dolls themselves are not rare,» says the owner. «It»s just that due to sanctions, it has become difficult to obtain Monster High. They are considered collectible and are no longer released in Russia. This doll is one of a limited series of new releases.«
The toy vampire ended up with the Omsk resident through a friend: she ordered it from America, then brought it to Estonia, and from there sent it to Russia.
Initially, the doll was purchased exclusively for sale — the Omsk resident does not collect toys. According to her, «whoever needs it will buy it sooner or later.»
It should be added that on marketplaces, Draculaura of the same series now costs almost 150,000 rubles (about $1,700 at current rates).
