Former Rybinsk Mayor Guest on Yakubovich's Program

Former Rybinsk head Denis Dobryakov participated in the program «Podcast.Lab» on Channel One. The episode, hosted by Leonid Yakubovich, was dedicated to the development of small and special aviation in Russia and aired on January 20, 2026.

Dobryakov served as mayor of Rybinsk from March 2016 to January 2022. Subsequently, he began overseeing the interests of the state corporation Rostec in the Yaroslavl Region, and in March 2025, he headed the Voluntary Society for Assistance to the Army, Aviation, and Navy (DOSAAF). It was about his work in this organization that he spoke on air.

During the conversation, Denis Dobryakov noted:

«Currently, very few people are flying. Meanwhile, in its time, DOSAAF could have become a support network: back then, all instructors were still alive and working, there was a full fleet of aircraft, and the entire DOSAAF system was actively functioning—everything was buzzing and flying. Missing this potential was a great folly.»

DOSAAF is an organization that prepares youth for military service and develops military-applied sports. Originally established in the USSR, the society was revived in Russia in 2009.
