After the event-rich days in Voronezh, a certain lull has set in, even the Christmas tree on Lenin Square has been dismantled. However, this doesn«t mean there»s nowhere to go in the city on the weekend. We tell you where to go in Voronezh on January 24 and 25.

«Battle for Voronezh»

On January 25 at 11:00, on the third stage of Petrovskaya Embankment, a reenactment of the 1943 Battle for Voronezh will be held for the first time since 2019. Until the end of the month, the I. N. Kramskoy Museum is hosting an exhibition from the Museum of Cinema collection titled «Gatherers of Russian Lands» (6+). It is dedicated to three rulers of Russian history: Ivan the Terrible, Peter the Great, and Catherine the Great – and their portrayals in domestic cinema. Christmas Tree Recycling
If for some reason you still haven«t gotten rid of your New Year tree, now is the time. You cannot throw a regular live tree into a container, as this carries a fine of up to 3,000 rubles (approximately $30). Therefore, it»s worth disposing of the tree properly. You can do this by handing over the spruce to the Botanical Garden at the address: Olympic Boulevard, building 12, entrance 2. Trees are accepted on January 24 and 25 from 11:00 to 15:00, and they ask that you bring them without ornaments or other decorations.
